Episode Eight: Season Finale features 7 DYA Developing Artists each responding to one of our deadly yarns with Elders from all different artforms and walks of life! We wanted to hear DYAs young people ideas, thoughts and feelings about the episode! Carrying on the long practise of exchange between our Elders and young people.

Episode 7: Uncle Dennis Bobongie "Education and Truth-telling"

Episode Seven features Uncle Dennis Bobongie. His impressive & inspiration dedication to his own learning has taken him around the world and through multiple academic institutions gathering knowledge. It has also taken him into a deep understanding of his own culture and the true history of what has happened on these lands. In this yarn we discuss the important role that truth telling has in reshaping our future and education. We discuss the importance of maintaining our culture and knowledge systems... and so much more.

Episode 6: Uncle Bob Weatherall "Land Rights & Repatriation"

Episode Six features Uncle Bob!! We go deep into Uncle Bob Weatherall’s life story and his incredibly important work as a fighter for the rights of Indigenous people, land rights and repatriation. Episode 5: Aunty Colleen Wall “Grandmother’s Lore”

Episode Five features the one and only Aunty Colleen Wall! Aunty is an Arts and Cultural leader whose work focuses on the value of cultural balance between First Nation Grandmother’s Lore and non-Indigenous Law. She is a trailblazer who protects the rights of First Nations performers and an educator who helps our young people connect with culture and cultural responsibility. 🖤⚡ #originalinfluencersbyDYA 

Episode 4: Dr Shellie Morris "Language + Song"

Episode Four features the inspiring Dr Shellie Morris. Shellie creates music & songs in around 17 Aboriginal languages, many considered “sleeping”. She is the 2014 NT Australian of the Year & won multiple awards personally and for her collaborations including the landmark album Ngambala Wiji li-Wunungu and the internationally award-winning musical documentary Prison Songs. 🖤⚡ #originalinfluencersbyDYA

Episode 3: Uncle Wilfred Prince "Community Champion"

Episode Three features Uncle Willie’s (Wilfred Prince) amazing story that reaches from his work at Kuril Dhagun, the State Library’s centre for Queensland's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, to carrying the Paralympic torch through Brisbane during the 2000 Olympics! Episode 2: Aunty Roslyn Watson “Dreams of a Dancer”

Episode Two features the amazing Aunty Ros!!! Aunty Roslyn Watson is a professional ballet dancer, educator and the first Indigenous person to be accepted into the Australian Ballet School. Episode 1: Aunty Roxanne McDonald "A Life in Theatre"

Episode One features the one and only Aunty Rox! Aunty Roxanne McDonald is an actor, theatre maker and, in our opinion, an absolute trailblazer! She was breaking down doors in the theatre world before we were even born.
